Arccos to showcase new innovations, partnerships at 2017 PGA Show
Since our launch in late 2014, our goal has been to create game-changing connected technology products for golfers.
This week, at the 2017 PGA Show in Orlando, Fla., we’re excited to showcase how we’re achieving that mission and revolutionizing the golfing experience for golfers who seek to play smarter and shoot lower scores.
It’s our third trip to the Orange County Convention Center and, while each year has offered us the opportunity to show the golf industry our latest products and partnerships, it’s shaping up to be our best year yet.
This week, PGA Show-goers visiting Team Arccos at Booth #3423 will learn about three key forward-thinking innovations.
Announced late last week, we’ll be discussing proudly a partnership with Microsoft Corp., which will become our Official Cloud Partner in an initiative combining our industry-leading performance tracking and data set of 50 million golf shots with the power of the Microsoft Azure cloud platform and Azure Machine Learning, part of Microsoft Cortana Intelligence. Together, we will develop technologies that use advanced analytics to deliver insights which help golfers of all skill levels play smarter to shoot lower scores.
The first phase of this collaboration – the Arccos Course Analyzer – premiers this week. The platform layers an Arccos user’s data on top of millions of data points for more than 40,000 golf courses mapped in the Arccos system. It then harnesses Azure’s cloud-computing services and machine learning capabilities to provide personalized recommendations for optimal strategies on nearly every golf hole in the world.
“Our goal is to create the most advanced Artificial Intelligence platform for golf,” says Sal Syed, our CEO and co-founder. “It will leverage a user’s personal performance history, all the shots ever taken by the Arccos community, weather, elevation, course features, equipment selections and much more.
“The resulting strategic advice will be smarter than anything that’s humanly possible. With its broad suite of capabilities, Microsoft’s Azure cloud platform is the ideal solution to unlock this vision.”
We’re also excited to be promoting our partnership with Cobra Golf. Golf’s first integrated shot tracking and GPS system, Cobra Connect Powered by Arccos features ultralight Arccos sensors embedded in the grips of all Cobra KING F7, F7+ and KING LTD Black drivers.
Cobra Connect Powered by Arccos users also gain access to a customized version of the Arccos Driver app, offering Cobra content in addition to the hands-free, real-time driver tracking, performance data, and rangefinder GPS distances available to all Arccos Driver app users.
Cobra Connect Powered by Arccos technology will be on showcase at the annual PGA Show Demo Day and throughout the show at the Arccos Golf and Cobra booths.
The game’s first connected club will also be the subject of a Facebook Live broadcast we’ll host Tuesday at noon ET from the Cobra Demo Day booth. Followers will have the chance to interact directly with Arccos CEO and co-founder Sal Syed, and Bob Philion, the CEO of Cobra Puma Golf.
Last, but certainly not least, we’ll be promoting our newest product - Arccos Caddie Smart Sensors.
Boasting 14 ultralight sensors that are 50 percent smaller than the original Arccos system, Arccos Caddie Smart Sensors also incorporates a powerful new shot detection algorithm that virtually eliminates the need for tee-to-green shot editing.
Visitors to our PGA Show booth will also learn about Arccos Caddie Smart Sensors’ additional features, including hands-free shot tracking, real-time player data, Tour Analytics, rangefinder GPS, permanent battery, power-saving, and more.
If you aren’t attending the PGA Show and want to follow along, we’ll be chronicling the week on our social media platforms -- Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and the launch of our Snapchat channel. Follow us on those platforms by searching “arccosgolf” for behind-the-scenes content and special features.
